Skanoer is a lovely place to live in. We have two long sandy beaches along the coast of the Copenhagen straits. Many hundred years ago Skanoer used to be a major landing place for fishing.

Skanoer has a popular harbour where lots of small boats and also impressive yachts are to be seen during the summer season. You can have a snack in the harbour restaurant overlooking the beach and you can also try smoked fish in the new smokery which will open in the summer of 1999.
